Our nation, the United States of America, was the first country to have spiritual independence from England. We got to choose how we worship.
The right to worship or assemble at church was a major issue for a young America. A couple of years ago, this right during the pandemic was trampled upon and churches closed. The Churches, the Sr Pastors that met, were issued fines and even jail time.
We are seeing our country turn anti-Christian, anti-Bible, anti-family, anti-biblical parenting. For the first time Christians are in the minority in the US and we are learning to deal with it.
People in Israel, people just like us, cried out Hoshiana or Hosanna Ben David
Many of the people who praised Jesus with the Triumphal Entry, yelled ‘Crucify Him’ just 5 days later.
The Hebrew word yagon means agony. Take the y and move it to the end of the word, making yagon, agony. This is recorded in scripture long before the 16th or the 14th century but goes back a couple thousand years ago.
Jesus was under such great pressure in the garden, He sweat blood. Add to that, the enemy told Jesus, He was all by Himself, nobody was standing with Jesus this time, when Peter had denied 3 times, and Judas would betray.
Apostle means ‘sent one’ and when someone is said to have an ‘apostolic anointing’, it means they are a reproducing spiritual father figure, even if they are young.
Another proof that the Bible is true and the Word of God can be trusted, is the way the resurrection story is told.
Sometimes it is as interesting, and enlightening, as what is not in the Bible, as what is in there.
7 They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set [Him] on them. 8 And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread [them] on the road. 9 Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed [is] He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Hosanna in the highest!”
And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
